Starters Brings Egypt’s First Curated Lebanese Bowls to Maadi

If you love Lebanese food but want to try it in a new way, add Starters to your list! Located on Maadi Degla Street, this new spot is introducing Egypt’s first curated Lebanese bowls, packed with fresh ingredients, authentic flavours, and some delicious combinations you might not have tried before.

Created by Jordanian-Lebanese chef Raed Bader, the menu features creative takes on Lebanese favorites, including vine leaves fatteh, chicken fatteh, batata harra, muhammara, and meat and tabbouleh bowls. One of the highlights is the now-famous Vine Leaves Bowl, which brings together three layers of tabbouleh, hummus, and waraq einab, topped with a piece of kibbeh.

You can also grab one of their fresh wraps, with options including chicken, meat, falafel, and halloumi pesto. And if you have a special combination in mind, you can always ask the team to make it for you!

But there’s another reason to love this place. Starters welcomes cats and dogs around the restaurant. Bader helps care for neighbourhood strays by feeding, vaccinating, and sterilising them. Part of the restaurant’s profits also goes towards their care.

You’ll find Starters at 202, Building 4, Degla Street, Maadi. For orders and enquiries, you can reach them on WhatsApp at 01006077770.
