The cable car ride will link the Grand Egyptian Museum to the pyramids, with up to 10 stops along the way. So instead of walking under the sun, you’ll be floating above the desert, soaking in sky-high views of the most iconic landmarks in the world.

This project follows the success of the El-Galala cable cars in Ain Sokhna, and it’s part of a bigger plan to upgrade the entire visitor experience. A 2.5 km touristic walkway is also in the works, designed to make your journey through Giza smoother, easier, and a lot more exciting.

People are already talking. Some are super excited. They say this will boost tourism and take visiting the pyramids to a whole new level (literally!). Others feel cable cars might change the traditional, historic vibe of the Pyramids. But no matter which side you’re on, there’s no denying this is a bold and modern move.

Whether you’re a tourist seeing the pyramids for the first time or an Egyptian who’s been there before, the idea of flying over the world’s most famous ancient site is just too cool to miss.

So, would you ride a cable car over the pyramids? Let us know — and stay tuned for takeoff!
