Don’t Miss Visiting The Abdel Wahab Museum For Free This Week!

In honor of the iconic Mohammed Abdel Wahab’s birthday, the Cairo Opera House is currently showcasing the late musician’s legendary works for free until March 16th. This tradition is aimed at introducing new generations to the symbols of Arab and Egyptian art.

The museum is situated on the second floor of the Arab Music Institute and is known to be home to two outstanding large halls.

Every corner is unique, as it gives the visitors a feeling of entering Abdel Wahab’s own house. One section contains his bedroom and favorite furniture as well as many of his personal belongings. In his bedroom, his wheelchair is also displayed to showcase all that the legend has gone through.

Visitors’ favorite items displayed also include the late singer’s amazing and vintage musical instruments. From his famous oud to his piano, every piece was carefully restored and displayed.

In addition to being able to see the golden microphone that Mohamad Abdel Wahab used to record most of his celebrated songs on, and the white suit dating back to 1932 worn during his first film, visitors will enjoy a cinema hall playing all the films that he starred in.

At this immersive museum, you will walk through all stages of the life of Mohamad Abdel Wahab starting from his childhood all the way up to his death represented by a clock displaying the time of his passing.

A priceless archive of all his musical material is also available in this fantastic museum carrying the history of one of the best Egyptian artists of all time.

Visit the museum between 10 AM to 3 PM at the Arabic Museum Institute for an unforgettable experience.
