The Story Of Sarah Hegazi, Egyptian LGBTQ Activist

On September 22nd, 2017, twenty-seven year old Sarah Hegazi attended a Mashrou’ Leila concert in Cairo. She was subsequently arrested, imprisoned, and tortured in an Egyptian prison for three months for holding up the rainbow flag in support for LGBT rights.
