Arab Countries Officially Announce Friday As First Day Of Ramadan

Egypt, iraq, and Lebanon have officially declared the first day of Ramadan.

According to a statement issued on Wednesday by the Dar Al Ifta (Fatwa Department), April 24 will be the first day of Ramadan.

Authorities in Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Jordan will convene tonight to sight the Ramadan crescent.

Most Islamic countries are expected to mark April 24 as the first day of the holy month.
