World Health Organization Releases Safe Ramadan Practices Amid COVID-19 Outbreak

With Ramadan approaching fast in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, many of the holy month’s traditions are now considered a health hazard.


From the social gatherings for eftar to the religious group practices at mosques, these annual and cherished rituals will sadly be left out this Ramadan.


As such, the World Health Organization has released an official document citing safe practices for Ramadan 2020 amid the coronavirus outbreak. These primarily include advice on physical distancing, charity, fasting, and more.
