Lebanon Becomes First Arab Country To Legalize Medical Cannabis

The Lebanese parliament has passed a draft law legalizing the cultivation of marijuana for medicinal and industrial purposes, making Lebanon the first Arab country to do so. This comes two months after the parliament’s joint committee first approved the draft law and submitted it for ratification by the National Assembly. This is anticipated to be a great source of revenue for the Lebanese government and for local growers, and a huge step towards an Arab society adopting more progressive scientific updates that are already available around the world. Do you think we could ever see a similar law in Egypt?
