WHO Announces 70 Coronavirus Vaccines Developing Globally, With 3 Already Being Tested On Humans

The World Health Organization has identified 70 potential vaccines to combat the novel Coronavirus developing worldwide, with 3 already in the human trial phase!

The vaccine in the most advanced stage is one being developed by the Chinese company CanSino Biologics in collaboration with the Beijing Institute of Biotechnology. The other two being tested on humans are treatments developed separately by US drugmakers Moderna and Inovio Pharmaceuticals.

While it usually takes about 10 to 15 years to create a vaccine, the drug industry is hoping to compress that designated time within the next year.
