Alexandria Aquarium

A one-of-a-kind destination, Alexandria Aquarium is home to infinite species of fish found in the Mediterranean Sea, Red Sea or in the Nile. Entrance fees are less than 10 EGP per person and the aquarium is open every day from 9 AM till 4 PM.

El Nabi Danial Street

If you love old books, then you need to take a stroll through El Nabi Danial street, which will transfer you back to the 6th century AD. On every corner of the street, you can find a book vendor ready to serve you at very affordable prices. Aside from being a historical cultural space, the street also represents a religious complex for having a mosque, a church and a Jewish temple.

The Qaitbay Citadel

Located right by the sea, the Qaitbay Citadel was built on the old Alexandria Lighthouse, which was one of the seven wonders of the ancient world before it was demolished. The Qaitbay Citadel dates back to the Mamluk era and overlooks the sea, giving you the stunning panoramic view you need. Once you’re done walking through the castle, take a boat ride through the sea. The citadel is open to the public every day from 8 AM to 5 PM and entrance fees are very affordable.
